In "Yaralarım Aşktandır," the first play by Tiyatro Poyraz, Nazan Kesal brings the powerful Iranian female poet Furuğ Ferruhzad to life in a one-woman show. Written by Şebnem İşigüzel and directed by Berfin Zenderlioğlu, the play brings the rebellious voice of Iranian poetry, Furuğ Ferruhzad, to the stage.
The story told in the play is the story of us all, who bloom and wither in the same climate; of those living under pressure, those who are always missing something, and those who continue to live and refuse to hold back their words despite everything. Furuğ Ferruhzad will take the stage to whisper words you won't forget, words that will be written as the poetry of her life in her own purgatory, waiting to be entrusted to the earth, even tolerated by the dead.
Furuğ comes to give us courage, reminding us: "The bird is mortal, remember to fly."
