Dansöz tells the story of Meryem, a lost girl that not even her own mother ever turned back to look at. Meryem is a child carrying the weight of the world. But one day, moved by a melody she hears, her whole story suddenly changes: Meryem discovers a lightness in her growing body, rooted in ancient rituals, as she dances. For the first time, eyes turn toward her.

Just as all eyes are turned upon her, Meryem realizes that the gaze itself carries weight; in fact, being seen is often the heaviest burden of all, demanding more than what the viewer actually sees…

From there, it is a spectacle.
