A visionary drummer who has long pioneered the translation of electronic music’s DNA into acoustic drumming with his project NERVE, Jojo Mayer now builds a symbiotic relationship with digital technology. Inspired by an experimental recording session with Brian Eno, this project becomes an artistic response to how artificial intelligence and generative algorithms may shape the future of music.

Mayer has developed a custom “music engine” that tracks, interprets, and mutates his own drum patterns—creating a mesmerizing improvisational dialogue between a machine that mimics human behavior and a human that mirrors machine precision.
