Nilüfer Verdi – “Caz Şarkıları” at Paribu Art
Nilüfer Verdi, one of the most respected pianists on the jazz scene, brings her Caz Şarkıları project to the stage, featuring special guest vocalists. The evening will highlight both the stories behind the pieces and unique vocal performances, with guests Duygu Soylu and İpek Göztepe. In addition to jazz standards, the concert will include surprise arrangements, offering an unforgettable musical experience.

Turkey’s first female jazz pianist, composer, and arranger Nilüfer Verdi was born in Istanbul to painter Liselotte Auer Verdi and percussionist Nejat Verdi. She began her musical journey with private piano lessons at an early age and continued her education at Berklee College of Music and The New School in New York. During her studies, she worked with notable musicians such as Jack Reilly, Ray Santisi, Bob Winter, Billy Pierce, and Alex Ulanowsky.
Verdi has released several albums, including Mânâ (1997) and İzhar (2007), featuring her own compositions, as well as Knidost (2016), a project of Turkish folk songs with Ülkü Aybala Sunat and Apostolos Sideris. In 2022, she released the single Talk to Me with Erdal Kızılçay and Duygu Soylu.
