Beliz

Beliz, born Beliz Durmuş, is a Turkish singer-songwriter and guitarist working in alternative pop and indie. She reached listeners in 2021 with the single "Hate To Love You", released as the first artist on Akustikhane Records. She writes in Turkish, English and Laz, and her most-streamed Beliz songs include "Uçmasak da Yükseğiz", "Derdini Bul", "Müebbet Disko" and "Cebinde Dünya".

Early years and Akustikhane Records

Beliz started music in a school choir and later worked for a time at luthier İsmail Dalgın's guitar workshop. In interviews she has said this experience led her to pursue music as a career. She graduated in Comparative Literature from İstanbul Bilgi University and plays guitar and keyboards. In 2021 she entered a new-artist contest run by Akustikhane on Instagram with "Hate To Love You", and then became the first artist signed to Akustikhane Records. Arranged by Cüneyt Yamaner, the soul-influenced pop-rock song was released on digital platforms in 2021. The live recording Akustikhane Yeni Yerli (Live at Akustikhane) came out the same year.

Uçmasak da Yükseğiz and the singles

Released on 15 April 2022, "Uçmasak da Yükseğiz" became her most-streamed song on digital platforms. Between 2022 and 2024 she released the singles "Müebbet Disko", "En Büyük Azınlık", "Beni Yukarı Çıkar", "Cebinde Dünya", "Mont" and "Tekinsiz". In October 2024 she released "Yüzsün Kentler" (11 October) and "Son Beyaz Gergedan'dan" (21 October). Beliz wrote the lyrics and music for these songs, and Kadirhan Ayter arranged some of them.

Debut album: Duyarga

Her debut studio album, Duyarga, was released on 1 November 2024 on Akustikhane Records. The 12-track album combines songs first issued as singles with tracks such as "Bum" and "Tuz". It addresses social and global issues, including environmental damage and poverty, in an indirect way. Duyarga is so far the only studio record among Beliz albums. Its launch concert took place on 25 November 2024 at Zorlu PSM %100 Studio in partnership with Akustikhane. The music publication Velvele ranked Duyarga 10th in its 2024 year-end list of Turkish albums.

"Derdini Bul (Live at Akustikhane)", recorded at Akustikhane, was released on 4 July 2025. This version of the song, written by İrfan Alış and Yasin Soyöz, is her second most-streamed recording. Beliz concerts take place mainly in Istanbul. In 2025 she played venues such as Blind and Babylon, and on 27 February 2026 she performed at JJ Pub Kanyon.
