About
As one of the landmarks of İzmir, the Historical Coal Gas Factory has been revitalized through meticulous restoration works by the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, becoming one of the city's most prominent culture and event centers.
Within the scope of the restoration project, the registered buildings—spanning a construction area of 2,850 square meters on a total open space of 23,250 square meters—were preserved and restored to their original form; the remaining structures were demolished, and the iconic giant chimney of the facility was reinforced.
