8 Months of Effort Takes Chekhov’s Endless World to the Stage! As UrlaDam Atölye Sahnesi, we are finally sharing the fruit of our theater workshop, which we have maintained with great passion, discipline, and excitement for a full 8 months. With the direction of the esteemed artist Nazan Kesal, we present a very special production born from a long-term education and collective effort: "Ayı - Bir Evlenme Teklifi ve Daha Bir Sürü". We bring together two immortal short plays by the great master Anton Chekhov, who carries the most tragicomic and sincere aspects of human nature to the stage, under a single roof:
Ayı: It tells the stubborn and funny conflict of a grieving widow and an angry landowner come to collect a debt, starting with hatred and moving towards an inevitable love. Bir Evlenme Teklifi: It lays bare how two neighboring families, who know each other very well, get entangled in each other through absurd stubbornness and trivial reasons during a marriage proposal, accompanied by laughter. And with the added surprise of "Daha Bir Sürü", we reinterpret Chekhov’s familiar melancholic and humorous world with a dynamic stage language.
