Belgian Experimental Jazz Trio Tassin – Hermia – Joris at Paribu Art on November 27
Comprising guitarist Julien Tassin, saxophonist Manu Hermia, and percussionist Chris Joris, this multi-generational trio invites Istanbul audiences to a unique musical experience by blending contemporary blues, jazz, and African music influences into a distinctive sound.
In this journey woven with organic tones, deep dialogues, and timeless improvisations, the trio pulls listeners into a dizzying soundscape with compositions that wander the boundaries of atonality and chaos. In this music where melody meets harmony, silence meets rhythm, and light meets darkness, the story is not just heard—it is felt.
The trio's debut album, Midnight Sun, was released on IGLOO Records on December 6, 2024. Set to tour the Flanders region in collaboration with Jazzlab in the first months of 2025, Tassin – Hermia – Joris now takes the stage at Paribu Art for the first time in Turkey.
