About
Sevcan Orhan is a Turkish folk music artist. She began studying bağlama, solfege, and notation at a young age. During high school, she won third place in a national folk music competition organized by a newspaper. After completing high school, she enrolled in the Voice Education Department at the ITU State Conservatory of Turkish Music. She released her debut album, "Nenni Bebek," in 2000. She currently teaches style and repertoire courses at the ITU State Conservatory of Turkish Music. From 2012 to 2013, she hosted the morning program "Alişan ile Sevcan" alongside türkücü Alişan following Ayşe Özyılmazel's departure from Star TV.
