Miskinler at Paribu Art on November 15 Miskinler is an Istanbul supergroup that hosts some of the most established names on the city's independent music scene. Embracing an Anatolian aesthetic, Miskinler follows a sparkling psychedelic route, harmonized with powerful musicianship. After spending hours in the studio throughout 2024, Miskinler began recording their original compositions. They signed with Rainbow Records and released the tracks as a maxi single. Their first 7" single, "Aşkın Sahtesi / O Yâre," was released in June 2024 and received immediate positive feedback from listeners and critics. This was followed by their second 7" single, "Duy Beni / Kervansaray," released in December 2024. The group is preparing to release two albums, one instrumental, and is likely to transfer their work to vinyl format in the coming days. Miskinler's sound is extensively nourished by cultural elements derived from their geographical origins. They not only capture the evolution of Anatolian sound but also reflect their history through lyrics that tell examples of rural life captured in tradition. Folk elements create a central mystical image in their voices, supported by enchanting rhythms and colorful melodies. Common sources of inspiration for the group include Erkin Koray, Moğollar, Santana, The Beatles, and Rock Music with Psychedelic & Funk aromas from every era.
