Kırkbinsinek at Paribu Art on February 25 The group consists of Alper Antmen on guitar and vocals, Douglas Vegas on bass, Oğuzhan Doğan on drums, and Volkan İncüvez on vocals and guitar. Since their formation in 2008, the group has performed at various concert halls and festivals in Germany and Turkey. Their track "Pus Almış Dağı" was released on the compilation album "Kompile Karga 3" in 2012. Their first full-length album, "Sis Pus Sus," was released in Germany in April 2015 on the "World In Sound" label, which is known for Psychedelic, Stoner, and Progressive Rock albums. Their second album, "Toprak Ana," was released in 2019 by Venüs Müzik on both vinyl and digital platforms. The group also composed the music for the documentary "Kaza Değil Cinayet," directed by Fatih Pınar in 2019. The group has performed on stages including Peyote, Peyote Eskişehir, Karga, Babylon, İKSV Salon, Anahit Sahne, Müze Gazhane, Kemanı, Zorlu PSM, Dorock HMC Taksim, Barista, Burgazada Paradisos Sessions, Kadıköy Sahne, Woodstock, Pendor, Haymatlos, Muğla Rocker Bar, MSGSÜ Akademifest, Rock-A Festivali, and Zeytinli Rock Festivali. They have completed two tours and performed concerts in seven cities across Germany. Kırkbinsinek is musically and intellectually influenced by the "Psychedelic" movement that emerged in the second half of the 1960s. Their music blends improvisation, makam and modes from Anatolian and world music, with their own unique psychedelic musical approach. The group took their name from a poem by Charles Bukowski, but they adopted it based on the sound created by forty thousand flies appearing in the same place at the same time, rather than the content of the poem.
