Duolimbo: Çağrı Sertel, Mehmet İkiz
Based in Istanbul, pianist, composer, keyboardist, and producer Çağrı Sertel joins forces with drummer and producer Mehmet İkiz, based in Stockholm. Duolimbo takes the stage at Komünite on December 10 at 21:30.
Within a soundscape shaped by drums and synthesizers, music emerges through the duo's shared intuition and immediate direction. While nourished by jazz tradition, the pair remains unbound by a specific repertoire or genre, shaping the form and direction of the music together.
Founded entirely on co-production, every Duolimbo performance transforms into a new territory opened by listening to one another in the moment. This approach makes each concert a unique experience, specific to that moment and never to be repeated.
