9. İstanbul Comics and Art Festival at Paribu Art on June 13-14
The Istanbul Comics and Art Festival brings together Istanbul's alternative art scene. Organized by Dream Sales Machine, this year marks the ninth edition, uniting comics, illustration, caricature, fanzines, animation, and street art under one roof. For the first time, the festival will take place at Paribu Art on June 13-14.
Over the years, the festival has become a key gathering point for Istanbul's independent production culture. It brings together publishers, independent artists, illustrators, designers, and creative communities, offering visitors not just a festival experience, but a living cultural space.
This year's program features major publishers such as Gerekli Şeyler, Kara Karga, Athica, Kayıp Kıta, and Flaneur, alongside artist stalls from Big Baboli, Flashmarket, dirt cake studio, MRE, Bülent Gültek, Ezgi Arslan, and Selin Çınar. With the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Turkey, Dutch and Turkish artists will perform live mural art. The festival also includes collective drawing zones, workshops, signing areas, panels, and performances. Live drawing sessions spread across the venue will allow visitors to witness the creative process firsthand.
Welcoming participants from all corners of the city, the festival spans a broad creative landscape—from independent publishing and illustration to underground comic culture and the next generation of street art.
