Born in Üsküdar, Istanbul on August 10, 1957, Zuhal Olcay graduated from the Department of Theatre in 1976 after five years of study at the Ankara State Conservatory. After graduation, the artist served for ten years at the State Theatres in Istanbul, Izmir, and Ankara, and began appearing in cinema and television projects in 1983. Working with directors such as Halit Refiğ, Ömer Kavur, Tevfik Başer, and Yavuz Özkan, Olcay collaborated with major figures of Turkish cinema throughout her career.
Starting her music career with a role in the musical Evita in 1989, the artist introduced herself in this field with her debut album "Küçük Bir Öykü Bu" in 1990, signing a total of eight albums. A founder of Tiyatro Stüdyosu and later Oyun Atölyesi in the 1990s, Olcay has pursued her theatre work independently since 2004. The artist, who holds numerous national and international awards in cinema and theatre, is a member of the European Film Academy and continues her work in theatre, cinema, TV series, and concerts without interruption.
