Moses Yoofee Trio

The Moses Yoofee Trio, featuring pianist Moses Yoofee, bassist Roman Klobe-Barangă, and drummer Noah Fürbringer, came together at the Berlin Jazz Institute. At just 14 years old, Yoofee was hailed by Germany's Tagesspiegel newspaper as a "young jazz prodigy." Drawing inspiration from J Dilla, Madlib, Robert Glasper, and Yussef Dayes, the trio has become one of Europe's leading new-generation jazz acts with their unique sound that blends jazz, hip-hop, R&B, and soul. Their rehearsal recordings, shared on social media, quickly gained widespread attention, leading to invitations from major festivals including We Out Here, Eurosonic, and Reeperbahn. Among the first to discover the trio were notable figures like Kamaal Williams and Gilles Peterson. In 2024, they won the Live Performance of the Year award at the German Jazz Awards and also performed at the Elbjazz Festival and the London Jazz Festival that same year. Following their debut full-length album MYT, released under Nils Frahm's LEITER label in 2025, the trio returns with their new EP, "Chasing Light." This six-track release captures the raw energy of hours spent rehearsing in Neukölln's practice rooms. It will be available on vinyl and digital platforms starting May 29, 2026.
