Starting her music journey in a small church in Michigan, Latoya Kennedy quickly rose to prominence in New York’s vibrant music scene after moving to the city. Collaborating with names like Dee Dee Bridgewater, Terri Lynn Carrington, and Christian McBride, Kennedy stands out with a powerful and soulful jazz voice.
Forming Kennedy Administration with Czech keyboardist and producer Ondre J, the group has become a staple of the New York scene with its original sound blending jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and pop. Following their debut album in 2017, the group released *Second Term* in 2023.
Their third album, *HUMANITY*, was released in November 2025. Born from life experiences accumulated since their first album, the record draws directly from everyday life. *HUMANITY* carries conflicting emotions in the language of jazz and soul, speaking to those who feel out of place, overthinkers, and those who hold onto joy even when they know life isn't easy.
