Jakuzi

Founded in Istanbul in 2015 by Kutay Soyocak and Taner Yücel, Jakuzi moved away from previous punk-focused projects to explore a new sound in synthpop and dark wave. The group became a standout name in Istanbul's contemporary underground music scene with their debut album "Fantazi Müzik," released on the Berlin-based label City Slang in 2017. Their second album, "Hata Payı," released by the same label in 2019, introduced the group to audiences in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Poland.

Their third album, "Madalyon," draws inspiration from B-movie horror films, youth slasher soundtracks, lo-fi recording aesthetics, and modern Turkish poetry. Released in two distinct parts, the album led Jakuzi on a major European tour following the release of "Madalyon I." The group continues to work on the second part of the album. Jakuzi blends melancholic melodies with danceable rhythms; these songs are reinterpreted in a sonorous and intimate style in the side project "Jakuzi on Piano," building a loyal fanbase both in Turkey and abroad.
