Returning to Turkey following the release of his first solo album, "Bir Yalnızlık Ezgisi" in 1991, the artist joined Ezginin Günlüğü as vocalist, lyricist, and composer in 1993. He appeared on albums including "İstavrit," "Oyun," "Ebrûli," "Hürriyet'e Doğru," "Aşk Yüzünden," and "Rüya." Leaving the group in 2010 to continue his solo career, Arkan released the albums "Solo" in 2011, "Yalnız Değiliz" in 2013, and "Kırık Hava" in 2015, reaching a wide audience with songs such as "Öyle Bir Rüya," "Hoş Geldin," "Kırık Hava," and "Gönül Yarası." Known not only for his music but also for his novels and poetry books, Arkan won the 44th Orhan Kemal Best Novel Award in 2015 for his novel "Hırsız ve Burjuva." Continuing his contemporary music work with the album "Kanat Sesleri" released in 2023, Arkan keeps performing concerts and pursuing his literary work.
