The Kadıköy Municipality has embarked on a journey to bring a brand-new theater building to Kadıköy, Istanbul's most vibrant theater district. Designed with input from the Kadıköy Theaters Platform and theater professionals across diverse fields, Alan Kadıköy was planned by drawing inspiration from leading global examples. Through a rigorous process that examined stages throughout Turkey and European cities, Alan Kadıköy has been shaped by contributions from theater artists and experts in stage and lighting design. Its open-air stage system places performers at the heart of the audience, accommodating over 400 spectators through varied viewing perspectives. Open every hour of the day, Alan Kadıköy will host theater, exhibitions, performances, and concerts, establishing itself as one of Istanbul's premier cultural hubs.
