Moses Yoofee Trio will perform on June 18 at 21:30 at Komünite.
Formed in 2020 through the friendship of pianist Moses Yoofee and bassist Roman Klobe at the Berlin Jazz Institute, the trio quickly made a name for themselves in the jazz scene with the addition of drummer Noah Fürbringer.
Their viral success with the 2023 EP “Ocean” was followed by the “Best Live Performance of the Year” award at the 2024 German Jazz Prize. Blending influences from artists such as Robert Glasper, Herbie Hancock, and Kaidi Tatham, they merge these inspirations with their own distinctive sound.
In 2025, their album “MYT” received international acclaim and was nominated for “Best Breakthrough Album of the Year” at the German Jazz Awards, further showcasing their mastery of combining complex rhythms with deep-rooted grooves.
With world tours across Asia and the Americas, Moses Yoofee Trio elevates their live performances to another level—merging jazz, hip-hop, and breakbeat-driven improvisation. This is a chance to witness their energetic world built on honesty, creativity, and freedom.
